I feel otherwise. After (extended) penultimate day, only 13% of its offer has been taken. As per SEBI guidelines, if 90% of offer is not taken, then, company has to refund entire money to applicants with-in specified time (78 days).

Emaar MGF has extended IPO offer until 11 Feb 2008 and reduced its lower band price (second correction in price) reflecting the bearish market. Price band is changed from 540-630 to 530-630. This indicates the mood of investors. Other IPOs may follow suit.

DLF, on the news of being awarded Rs. 6000 Crore project by Karnataka Govt, rose about 14% on a single day (A gain of about Rs. 120+), though real estate index rose by 7%. Good momentum in this stock. I think it is good time to make partial profit in this counter.

Exide Industries: Board agrees for rights issue

During the board meeting held on 29-Aug-2007, Exide board agreed for rights issue. These shares will be alloted in the ratio of 1:15 (One share for every fifteen shares) at a face value of Rs. 1 with a premium of Rs. 29, effectively Rs. 30/- for each share thus raising an amount of Rs. 150 Crores. Thus raised funds would be utilized to augment the long-term resources of the company.
